Visiting scholars

At ADVANCES we welcomes applications from leading academics and practitioners from any country in the world to contribute as guest lecturers to teaching on the programme.  

We are inviting scholars to apply to participate in teaching and assessment across the ADVANCES consortium for the period of 2023.

Teaching events can be tailored to the expertise of the visiting scholars, if suitable for the planned module.

Eligibility criteria

ADVANCES guest lecturers can spend a minimum of one week and a maximum of two weeks in one of the Consortium’s partner universities.  They must commit to:

  • actively participate in ADVANCES teaching for the full duration of their visit (approximately 8 hours of teaching per week)
  • bring concrete added value to the programme and students (through teaching of specific classes, leading and participating in seminars or workshops, monitoring and tutoring student research/project activities, participation in assessment)
  • contribute, after their visiting scholar activities, to the promotion and dissemination of the Erasmus Mundus Programme in general, and the ADVANCES in particular, in their country of origin
     

Terms of the grant

Guest Lecturers can receive up to EUR €1,950 per week for travel and accommodation costs.

Send the form together with a CV to info-advances@aau.dk. 

 Applications for the 2023 fall must be received no later than 1 April 2023.

There is no need to send references or proof of qualifications/skills/employment at the initial application stage, but these may be requested at a later stage.

Applicants will receive feedback from the board no later than two months after the above mentioned deadlines.
